Innisfail Harbour Pile Rehabilitation

WORK SCOPE:
- The fabrication of 20 mooring piles and walkway brackets at the Nabis Fabrication Yard
- Sand Blasting and Coating of the Piles using a Marine Epoxy
- Transportation of piles and marine-based machinery to Innisfail from the Sunshine Coast
- Removal of the existing pile paraphernalia and walkways
- Alterations, refabrication, and Hot Dip Galvanising of existing walkways
- Sleeving old 406 dia mooring piles with newly fabricated 508 dia using Nabis Piling Barge
- Grouting the annulus between the existing mooring piles and the newly fabricated sleeves

Alternative initiative conducted by Nabis:
- The prescribed timber fenders were superseded by the use of a combination of Wagner's CFT and recycled plastic as the external rubbing strips. This option provided an enhanced design life and a long term cost-effective solution.
